To the judgemental self and The judgemental world

I hone the way I learn and speak
Can you judge me by the number of languages I speak?

I carve my path by bushes and flowers
Can you doubt my intelligence by the choices I keep?

I admire the beauty of the beast
Can you criticise me for the verses I preach?

I burn my soul to keep the world in light
Can you still call me soul of the night?

Unspoken Words

This poem is dedicated to
The judgemental self
And
The judgemental world

I learn daily
I win daily
I lose daily
I fight daily
I cry daily

Can you judge me?
Can you figure all out?

No, you can’t
Especially
No, you shouldn’t

“I hone the way I learn and speak
Can you judge me by the number of languages I speak?”

I learn
I grow
I hone my skills
Can you give me a name
Give my personality a name
Give my belief a name

Just by the variety of languages, I am able to speak

“I carve my path by bushes and flowers
Can you doubt my intelligence by the choices I keep?”

I have different opinions
Different approaches
I don’t carve my path by tools
I use fragile bushes and flowers to carve the path made of stones

“I admire the beauty of the beast
Can you criticise me for the verses I preach?”

I find beauty in the dark places
I find beauty in the stillness of the night
I find beauty in the eyes or expressions of the beast
Can you criticise me for my idea of beauty?

“I burn my soul to keep the world in light
Can you still call me the soul of the night?”

I love unconditionally
I love uncritically
But people come and go in life.
I am here with you today.
But I may not stay tomorrow.
Would still trust me to be there with you for this moment.

A Reflection of You

TheTiny Aspects of life
Tiny aspects of life

Who are you in this world?
As small as the dust particle
Or
As Huge as the oceans

What is yours in this world?
The mere money that you yearn
Or
The lessons that you learn

What pleases you in this world?
The stillness of a lake
Or
A deep red cherry on a big vanilla cake

What scares you the in this world?
The warmth on a mean face
Or
The dullness on a child’s face

What triggers you in this world?
A poke in your emotions
Or
Faith in God and devotion!

Have you ever thought about this beautiful life? It’s purpose.
What makes you happy?
What makes you sad?
 What is your true calling?
The writer is asking questions to herself and wants you to ask yourself these questions.

There comes a time in life when we all need to introspect.
We need to ask ourselves who we truly are?
What defines us?
What drives us?

What do we think of ourselves?
A small, invisible dust that is there but neglected by all.
Or are we like a large ocean, filled with emotions and thoughts, that cares for the entire world.

What really matters to us?
The money, the power, name and fame. Or the knowledge.
 The invaluable lessons in life.
To live and let others live.
 To be a giver.
To contribute to the growth and nourishment of the world.

What makes us happy?
The beauty of nature.
The hills, the lake, green gardens, the wonder that the world is.
Or is the man-made pieces if attraction. Things that give us pleasure.
But short-lived.

What hurts us the most?
People being mean, rude or betraying us.
Or is it the children of this world who miss their childhood.

What drives you to live and enjoy your life?
Your will to succeed.
Your desire to fulfil every dream.
To prove to everyone what you can do.
Or is it your faith in God.
 Faith in humanity.
Your perseverance to make the world a better place to live.

For Love

                                                   My Idea Of Love
MY IDEA OF LOVE
    Artwork Credits: Unknown
A white crisp paper in my hand
And suddenly all memories started to rewind

How beautiful you are my love
Like a magnificent pink dove

The daily 7 PM knock at the door
Makes all my emotions roar

You setting up my bed for me
Gives me all the tranquil feelings I wanna keep

This post is really special as it is my 100th post on Instagram.
The content I post on Instagram is different from the content I post here.
But since this is my 100th post so I thought why not synchronize for a day.

    Unspoken Words

I don’t think I can really describe love
It’s too beautiful to be explained in words
It’s a mesmerising feeling
Love can be so many things
It means differently to different people
I don’t think this feeling of being in love or actually able to love someone can be generic.
It varies
In this tiny poem, I am writing about love the way I feel
The way I can sense it
The way I can adore it
I find love exists in so many things
The tiny gestures
The long talks
The little fights
I mean doing all those things together
My idea of love is what I have expressed in this poem
My idea of faith,
My idea of belief
In love

The poem is self-explanatory
All I wanted to do was explain my idea behind it.
My emotions and feelings behind the poem.
If you guys like it
Do let me know in the comments below.
I would love to hear it from you.
And please follow for regular updates,
Your little gestures will mean a lot to me.

Urdu Shayri

EYES THAT SPEAK

LANGUAGE OF THE EYES

Teergi(1) Mai say cheekhti nighaahein
Apnay wajood ka falsafa bayan kar Rahi hain
Pass aaa kar dekho kitnay asraar(2) bayan kar Rahi hain
Ghubaar(3) jo tumhari aankon Mai padha hai ghuroor ka
Kaha milega wajood humare zeest(4) ka

1. darkness
2.secrets
3.cloud of dust
4.existence

UNSPOKEN WORDS

Eyes
They are the most intimate and magnificent organ of a human body

They speak without uttering anything
They listen without hearing anything

We all underestimate the power of eyes
The strength and emotions eyes hold are majestic

Here in this particular Urdu Shayari
Eyes are conveying their pain.
Their struggle.
Their effort.

Eyes are crying out from the deep darknesses to prove their existence.
They want to be heard.
They want to be acknowledged.
They want someone to listen and understand the pain they have endured.

From a distance, one sees happiness in the eyes. But come closer and you will see the deep secrets hidden in these eyes. Secrets coming out in form of tears which nobody is able to understand.

Everybody's eyes are covered by a cloud of ego. A cloud of self-importance. Nobody can see the pain of others. They are too busy looking at themselves, praising themselves, admiring themselves.

They cannot see my existence. They cannot see my pain. They can never acknowledge the secrets in my eyes. They can never value our presence in their lives. They always remain unaware of the emotions that the eyes want to convey.

Nostalgia

A Trip Down the Memory Lane

Haphazardly I went from the woods of barren land

Seeing the worst of nightmares
The cries of lost fertility crave for freedom
I plead for an Arcadian(idea of life believed to be perfect) town in this fleeting livelihood
Where effervescent(blooming) is nowhere to be seen

UNSPOKEN WORDS

Do you remember a place from your childhood, that used to be filled with joy and happiness?
Perhaps lush green lands, gardens blooming with flowers.
Or farms decorated in gold of sunflower or wheat.
That smell of soil after rains.
Wasn't it all so serene.
But with time, it lost all its charms.
The happiness and colours turned dull.
The writer is trying to tell about such a place close to her heart.
The writer says that she came to such a place after a long time and cannot believe what had happened to the wonderful place.
She uneasily went through the place.
Where there used to be tall green trees, now lies a barren land which has nothing but just sand left.
Even in her worst nightmares, she could not imagine that this place, which was the source of livelihood of tireless farmers, is now infertile.
The land now seems to be crying about its lost glory.
The town is filled with nothing but a gloomy silence.
All that the writer wishes is that somehow that old calmness and joy would return in this town which is no longer present.
She wishes somehow the soil turns fertile and the people of the town get back their livelihood and happiness.
She hopes to see this town just like it was during her childhood.

                                                   UNSPOKEN WORDS
Love is the most wonderful feeling in the world. Life seems to be like a beautiful garden when you are in love.
And the moments you cherish with the loved one are unforgettable.

But what if the one you love is not around.
 Times change, relationships change.
But the love remains the same.
The desire to see your loved one for one last time, to meet, just to have a glimpse, could be painful.

The writer is trying to explain such a desire.
The hope, that the loved one would come to meet, one last time.

When she is sick, she hopes that the loved one would come to see her.
For the sake of the beautiful days that they had spent together.

She hopes that he would come back thinking about the mutual respect and understanding that they have shared for such a long time.

She wishes that he would come to see how she is living life without him.
Life doesn't seem so beautiful without him.
She wishes he could understand that.

Although the relationship is not the same like before, it was her last wish to see him one more time.
And she hopes that he would come back one final time to fulfil that wish.
She wishes he could listen to her voice of the heart and meet her one last time.
